About

Anastasia Batura is a professional artist and iconographer, living in Warsaw, Poland. She specializes in iconography, painting, and abstraction.

Born on November 9, 1998, in Dubno, Ukraine, Anastasia grew up in a large Orthodox family. From early childhood, she was surrounded by an atmosphere of active spiritual life: frequent pilgrimages, participation in religious processions, prayer, and exposure to traditional church art wove together the threads of spirituality and art that continue to shape her creative path today.

In her creative work, Anastasia blends academic mastery with deep spiritual exploration. She works primarily in the genres of canonical iconography, oil painting, and abstraction.

When creating icons, she follows centuries-old traditions with great reverence—seeing the icon not merely as an artwork, but as a form of prayer and service to God, a way to express the spiritual essence through artistic form. Her icons are born from silence and devotion — each brushstroke a form of prayer, a gesture of service, a bridge between heaven and earth.

At the same time, her abstract and realistic works expand the boundaries of perception and artistic expression. Layers of materials, interplay of volumes and light create compositions that resonate energetically.

Anastasiia chooses the freedom of artistic expression: she experiments by moving between genres and techniques, and promotes sacred art through social media.
